About the project

The lower ground floor serves as the technical and leisure area of the residence. Although it is not the main living level, every space was designed with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship as the rest of the house.

The interior combines classic English elegance with industrial loft influences, using natural wood, decorative brick, stone, brass finishes, and carefully layered lighting to create a distinctive atmosphere.

Hallway with Integrated Wine Display

The lower ground floor continues the home's overall design concept, introducing visitors to a sophisticated combination of rich colours, premium materials, and carefully crafted details. The hallway blends classic English elegance with contemporary design, featuring deep burgundy walls, decorative mouldings, solid wood elements, and natural wooden flooring.

The focal point of the space is a custom-built wine display cabinet, recessed into a dedicated wall niche directly opposite the staircase. Crafted from solid wood with glass doors and integrated lighting, it functions as both practical storage and a striking architectural feature, creating an impressive first impression as you descend to this level.

The hallway also includes an open storage area that serves everyday household needs. Although designed as a separate functional zone, it remains visually connected to the hallway, preserving the openness and continuity of the interior.

At the end of the hallway, a small vestibule leads to the garage. Furnished with an upholstered bench and wall-mounted coat hooks, it provides a practical transition space for changing shoes and outerwear before entering the garage.

Laundry Room and Technical Area

The laundry room was designed as a fully functional space that combines practicality, organization, and aesthetics while maintaining the overall design language of the house. The interior follows the English classic style used throughout the property, while focusing on durability and everyday functionality.

The main feature of the room is a custom-built furniture system in a deep blue colour with classic framed cabinet fronts. A black stone worktop adds a refined character to the space and provides a practical surface for sorting and folding laundry. The room includes a large sink with a classic-style tap, integrated washing machine and dryer, a drying cabinet for laundry, and the house’s technical equipment hidden behind the cabinet doors, including built-in boilers for hot water preparation.

A large open storage unit provides space for household supplies, cleaning products, ironing equipment, baskets, and other everyday items. To ensure comfortable access to the upper shelves, the design includes an integrated wooden ladder, allowing easy use of the higher storage areas.

The material palette was chosen with both practicality and visual impact in mind. Black-and-white checkerboard tiles create a distinctive foundation, while grey decorative plaster provides a durable and elegant finish suitable for a technical space. This room demonstrates that even purely functional areas can become a thoughtfully designed part of the home.

Private Lounge with Custom Bar

This space was designed as a private lounge for relaxation, social gatherings, and moments spent in an elegant atmosphere. The interior combines elements of English classic style with industrial influences, creating a unique space with a strong individual character.

The foundation of the room is formed by oak parquet flooring, decorative brick wall finishes, and solid wood details that bring warmth and timeless elegance to the interior. The main focal point is a custom-designed solid wood bar featuring a unique glass structure with a handcrafted ship model displayed inside. This exceptional detail becomes the defining element of the room and highlights its distinctive character.

The bar area is complemented by a stone countertop, an integrated beverage refrigerator, storage solutions, and illuminated mirrored shelves designed for glassware and display items. Industrial-style lighting above the bar enhances the atmosphere and emphasizes the craftsmanship of the space.

The relaxation area features a large classic-style leather sofa, two matching leather armchairs, a solid wood coffee table, and unique side tables created from decorative barrels. Opposite the seating area, a custom TV wall is complemented by a solid wood bookcase with open illuminated shelving.

The entire interior was designed as a distinctive private retreat, combining comfort, craftsmanship, and the atmosphere of a modern gentleman’s club with classic influences.

Wellness Area with Sauna and Separate Toilet

This part of the house was designed as a private wellness area, continuing the character of the lower floor while combining industrial influences with elements of English classic style.

Upon entering the wellness area, there is a separate shower zone with a glass shower enclosure and an elegant mirror. This space follows the same design language as the adjacent toilet, featuring dark surfaces, contrasting details, and warm retro-style metal accents. From the shower area, there is direct access to the sauna itself.

The entire space is based on a contrast of dark materials, black-and-white details, and refined metallic elements, creating the atmosphere of a private relaxation area with a luxurious character.

The separate toilet is designed as an individual room and continues the same visual concept. Dark brick-style wall tiles, black-and-white mosaic flooring, and retro-inspired sanitary elements combined with golden details create a distinctive and elegant atmosphere.

The main feature of the room is a custom-designed washbasin inspired by the shape of a traditional wooden barrel. Combined with a stone countertop and refined metal details, it becomes a unique design element that gives the space its own identity.
