About the project
The private family floor was designed as a calm and personal part of the residence, created primarily for the owners and their family. It includes the master bedroom, home office, two children’s rooms, a separate wardrobe and a spacious family bathroom.
Unlike the representative main floor, which focuses more on classical elegance and social spaces, this level was designed with a stronger emphasis on comfort, privacy and individual character.
Each room received its own atmosphere, colour palette and material concept reflecting the needs and personality of its user.
One of the main challenges was the complex attic architecture of the upper level. Sloped ceilings, irregular proportions and limited wall heights required a highly individual approach to furniture design and spatial planning.
The result is a harmonious private area where traditional English influences meet modern comfort and carefully selected natural materials.
Home Office
The home office was designed in a distinctive English classic style, creating a sophisticated and representative working environment.
Deep green tones continue onto the custom-made furniture, combining open bookshelves with closed storage areas. Warm integrated lighting highlights books and decorative objects while creating a comfortable atmosphere.
The central element of the room is a large custom-made solid wood desk in a traditional English style. Opposite the desk, a relaxation area was created with a leather sofa, decorative wallpaper, and classic wall framing.
A custom piece of furniture also hides a small refrigerator, maintaining the elegant appearance of the room while providing practical functionality.
Classic lighting fixtures and carefully selected materials complete the atmosphere of a timeless English-inspired interior.
Girls’ Bedroom
The girls’ bedroom was designed as a soft and timeless space that can naturally grow with the child.
The interior combines pink tones, golden accents, and decorative wallpaper inspired by a fairytale forest. The main feature is a large bed with a custom headboard shaped like rabbit ears, placed within a cozy niche with soft textile wall panels.
Storage units and open shelves surround the bed area, providing space for books and toys while keeping the room visually light.
The room also includes a future-ready study area, a small relaxation zone with a pink bench, and a play area. Soft evening lighting creates a warm and comfortable atmosphere.
Boys’ Bedroom
The boys’ bedroom was created as a multifunctional space combining rest, creativity, and active play.
The main concept is based on green tones combined with orange and brown accents. Dinosaur-themed wallpaper adds a playful character, while the green walls and ceiling create a strong visual identity.
The room was divided into several functional zones – sleeping, studying, and playing.
The main feature is the custom-designed play wall, including a climbing element, a Swedish wall reaching the ceiling, and a decorative tree with a monkey holding a light fixture.
Two lounge bean bags create a comfortable area for relaxation and play. Built-in storage provides enough space for toys and personal belongings.
The thoughtful design allows the room to adapt naturally as the child grows.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom was designed as a calm private retreat combining elements of English style with a mountain chalet atmosphere.
The main feature of the room is the custom-designed wooden ceiling structure, which respects the original architecture of the attic space. The ceiling was created using oak veneer combined with solid wooden beams, emphasizing the sloped roof structure and creating a unique character.
To enhance comfort, a warm brown carpet was chosen, as the homeowners consider carpet an important element of coziness and relaxation in the bedroom. Deep green walls create a peaceful background for the large bed with upholstered details in an elegant ochre tone.
Wooden elements continue around the bed area, visually connecting with the ceiling structure. The room also includes a relaxing corner with two armchairs near the balcony, a fireplace finished with natural river stone, and a small storage unit for everyday items.
Thanks to the built-in wardrobe located outside the bedroom area, the room remains spacious, open, and focused primarily on comfort and relaxation.
Bathroom
The bathroom on this floor is one of the most distinctive spaces in the entire house. Its concept differs from the other rooms and combines modern design with natural elements.
The main idea was to create a space where nature gradually takes over an industrial-inspired base. Grey surfaces, wooden elements, and green organic textures create a unique atmosphere.
The freestanding bathtub is placed on a wooden platform, continuing toward the wooden flooring in the shower area. The large walk-in shower is finished with glass and integrated lighting.
Two feature walls with hexagonal patterns combine green organic structures with brown tones, creating the impression of nature blending into the industrial materials.
Two stone-like sinks are placed on a dark blue-black marble countertop with expressive natural veining. The same marble was used for the freestanding bathtub, creating a strong visual connection.
The main artistic element of the bathroom is a natural moss wall extending onto the ceiling, creating a living decorative feature and bringing nature directly into the interior.
Separate WC
The separate WC continues the same design concept as the bathroom.
The combination of grey surfaces, green elements, wood, hexagonal patterns, and brass details creates a harmonious continuation of the main bathroom.
A small stone-like washbasin provides comfort and functionality even within the compact space.
The entire third floor represents a combination of individual design, high-quality materials, and carefully considered details. Each room has its own unique identity while remaining part of one coherent and timeless interior concept.
